Preparing the Demir Baba festival
A couple of days ago Emine Sadka, the chairman of BYF-Veliko Tarnovo, visited our office in Sofia. She explained us her plans to organise a brand new festival dedicated to Demir Baba. This mythical Alevi dervish has a mausoleum (or türbe) next to the village of Sveshtari in the Isperih municipality (part of Razgrad Province in northeastern Bulgaria) where the festival will be located.
The BYF team in Sofia will collaborate with the Veliko Tarnovo one to make it possible. We are starting now preparing a video and different publicity campaigns from our office, but in a couple of weeks we will go to Isperih to work in the field as well.
